Creative Waves Community Arts, is an arts company founded by Worthing artists Vanessa Breen and Nadia Chalk. Together they have formed a community interest company limited by guarantee (not for profit) so that they could embark on larger scale projects together and bring art to the wider community. Recent projects include:
Art on the Pier – showcasing the wealth of artistic talent in Worthing, 100 images from 60 local artists have been printed on high quality vinyl and applied to a section of the glass partition that runs along Worthing Pier’s central walkway.
Murals – two large collaborative murals adorn the hoardings of the new swimming pool complex in Worthing. The murals designed by creative waves and painted by the local community.
Community events – over 1000m of handmade bunting was installed for Party on the Prom to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
It was painted by 2000 people (mostly children) during workshops at local schools, nurseries and community groups.
